Our presenter this month is Tom Mills. : Tom is a senior consultant with Microsoft Services Greater Southeast District. He has over 29 years of work experience including careers in television and media, technology sales and Microsoft-focused IT. For the past 15 years, he has worked in development, network administration, systems engineering and database design and administration. Tom is a certified MCITP for SQL Server 2008, MCSD.NET, MCSE and MCTS for Office Sharepoint Server 2007.

Tom’s topic : An Introduction to Powerpivot for Excel 2010
Presentation Description: Powerpivot for Excel 2010 is Microsoft’s latest addition to its Business Intelligence product line. Powerpivot offers self-service BI analytics to the individual without the need for server applications. Through PowerPivot Services for Sharepoint 2010, it offers the ability to develop and publish PowerPivot workbooks to Sharepoint. This presentation will cover the basics of PowerPivot, PowerPivot Services for Sharepoint and its new query language, DMX.
